The Vista Hermosa - The Entire Hotel is Ours

The Vista Hermosa is the most popular hotel in Melaque for Canadian and American vacationers... and not because it is fancy or anything like that, because it’s definitely not. The Vista Hermosa is a simple, well maintained rustic hotel with lots of charm.

It has been in the care of the same family for over 50 years... actually it was one of the first hotels built on Melaque beach. This family truly puts their guests first; it’s very important to them that you go home feeling like you now have a new home in Mexico to. That's probably the best way to describe the feeling this place gives off... it is a cozy, simple and comfortable, but different home south of the border.

The latter is one of the reasons this hotel has such a loyal following from its Canadian and American guests, some of which have been coming back every year for 40 years. The secret of Melaque and Hotel Vista Hermosa has literally been passed down from one family generation to the next. Every year, the high season is a reunion of friends and family... the fiestas are a blast.

It’s location on the beach is considered the best... to the left the waves get a little larger and to the far right the beach a little rockier. You have the beach on one side of the hotel and on the other, quick access to the village and all services. Everything you need is well within walking distance... a three block radius. BTW, the bank not 50 feet from the hotel offers good exchange rates with their ATM’s.

All of the shared rooms (2 people per room) face the beach. These are the larger units that have three beds, a kitchen and one bathroom.

If you prefer a private room we can arrange for you to take one of the smaller units that face the inside of the hotels garden area. The cost is a little more, but if you prefer more privacy it’s a good choice. The only thing you are giving up is a direct view of the ocean... even then all you have to do is walk 20 – 30 feet for that.

You’re really going to feel like you’re getting away from it all... example: no phones in any of the rooms. A managerial decision because of requests made over and over again by Canadian and Americans for no phones... TV’s yes. There is a common phone though as well as wireless internet in the hotel lobby area.

Another request made by the English speaking guests that I have personally heard many times is “don’t tell any other people about Melaque and the Vista”. They want to keep the whole place a secret for themselves... no more people. These are people who have all experienced the Canun’s and Puerto Vallarta’s of Mexico and were looking for something different. I think you will understand why they say this after you spend a week here.
