Melaque Beach - A Little Known Paridise

For those who seek simplicity and relaxation, San Patricio Melaque is the perfect beach getaway.  This 45 Meter wide, 3 kilometre long beach with clean blue water and smooth swells is a hidden gem not known by many.

Most Canadians and Americans who discover this little paradise through word-of-mouth or pure luck become second, third and sometimes life-time return visitors.  In fact, the hotel where our yoga holiday is being held has some guests coming back every year for more than 40 years.

Melaque beach offers something much different than the typical Mexican resort towns.  You won’t find any luxury hotels here... and we promise, no timeshare sales people circling the beach.  It’s a simple, rustic and traditional Mexican town with an absolutely beautiful beach.

BTW, in case you’re wondering, most people refer to the town San Patricio as Melaque or Melaque beach... it’s the same thing though. Melaque is located 60 kilometres north of Manzanillo and 200 kilometres south of Puerto Vallarta, very close to where the two states of Colima and Jalisco meet.

Flight Information:  A couple different options for you to consider. (airfare not part of package)

1. The most affordable flight fare is to Puerto Vallarta followed by a 3 – 4 hour bus tour to Melaque.  This is the option most Canadians and Americans select when vacationing in Melaque.
2. The other more expensive, but also more convenient option is to fly into Manzanillo, a less popular tourist destination than Vallarta which explains the increase in cost.  It’s only a 30 minute drive from the airport and we will arrange for you to be picked up.

Melaque is an excellent location for a Yoga holiday... it's quiet, the locals are friendly and it offers up a true Mexican cultural experience.  Oh, and don't forget, we have the entire hotel to ourselves... no other non-yoga guests will be present.
